2017 proved to be a challenging year for us,
in more ways than one.
Not only did the Church burn down in February but the Hall was broken into
a couple of times, with all the sound and audio equipment being stolen.
We continued in the Lord's strength
as 'The Battle belongs to the Lord'
in more ways than one.

The insert shows the Church well alight by the time the Fire Brigade arrived.
Sunday 12th February 2017 at around 6pm, an electrical short somewhere in the entrance area caused a fire to start and burnout the building.
Sunday 12th February 2017 at around 6pm, an electrical short somewhere in the entrance area caused a fire to start and burnout the building.
The Cessnock Fire Brigade supported by other units speedily brought it under control. With weather conditions of wind and heat, the fire spread rapidly to completely gutter the inside to black char.
This property is now a memory of over 100 years of faithful ministry to the Cessnock Community.
Since the fire, the Lord has graciously given us a new location in Cooper st and we continue to faithfully minister the Word of God to the Cessnock Community.
